Geoff Lamden

Geoff Lamden is a multitalented instrumentalist, vocalist, and dancer who in April '94 found a new home on the bass guitar. Playing for 6-8 hours a day alone and with best friend Andy Weber (Earth Vs. Space, The Invisible Circus, Triptych Blue, Sunstar 8, The Heart Of Gold Band, and Potato Moon) in the basement. Geoff played his first show on October 1, '94, 6 months into his low end venture. Using 10 effect pedals to paint the sky and solidify new planets of sound he slowly moved to an acoustic only lifestyle when he became an organic farmer in the spring of '98.

Returning to his hometown of Grand Rapids, Michigan in the summer, his old band, the Heart Of Gold Band, asked him to play one set with them in Kalamazoo. After refusing, he decided he'd play a set on his acoustic bass, plugging directly into the P.A. and trying to use as little electricity as possible. Hitting the first note, all eyes turned to each other.

Five months later, he was playing "lead bass" on his 6 string Yamaha with digital and analog effects. Ever since then, he has been the one to call on if you need help on the low end, filling in for bands all over the country and bringing a unique flavor to the traditional bass player position. If you need someone there to support your band emotionally or sonically, you can count on Geoff.
